Well it’s more like the sidewalk than the road to be exact. None the less, this Tuesday we are happy to be packing some of our newest wears inside a few vintage trunks and suitcases and taking them just a few steps down the block to our Uptown friends over at the Dyckman Bar. Coming for the trip is our favorite DJ, the one and only CHARLIE BROWN, master of the rare classics that you need to hear.  In collaboration with Buzy Girl of Endless Noise NYC(CLICK IT) we are proud to be the premier designers for her new Trunk Show Tuesdays’s Series which will feature only the best brands and designers, bringing real fashion to the realest neighborhood…UPTOWN!

09.28.11 :: INTRODUCING THE UPTOWN PREPARATORY SCHOOL…

Enrollment is now open and our 60′s inspired prep school apparel is now in store.  Taking a page from prep school doctrine when prescribed garments for all occasions existed, we recreated and updated a tight sampling of that time in lifestylgia.

For sport we have vintage-weight, hand screen printed t-shirts and raglan sweatshirts bearing the seal of our historic Uptown Preparatory  School and it’s shield of excellence. It’s symbols are worldly recognizable yet only locally truly understood.

For spirit we have broad striped, tailor fit crew neck and pull-over hooded sweatshirts with hand cut, heavy-weight suede cowhide varsity timepiece patches, match perfectly with our striped athletic socks.

Last but not least for study, we have versatile reversible cardigans with heavy-weight twill trimming and leather wrapped buttons.

Together or separate, back then or today these pieces’ attention to decorum and details render them timeless and simply Nostylgia.

09.23.11 :: LAST WEEKS YARD SALE SUCCESS…

If you didn’t happen to pass by Nostylgia last weekend you missed one hell of a yard sale. The American tradition was a lives on! There were great antiques and vintage clothing galore. The deals and steals were out of this world and there was enough laughs to last a lifetime.  Yes, thats a full grown man in a kimono!

So the moral of the story is….we’ll see you next month. The American Tradition Yard Sale will now be the Nostylgia Tradition Yard Sale.  Stay posted for more info on the next yard sale coming soon.
