Nothing else marks the start of Spring like The Brimfield Antique Fair. This overwhelming display of “good ol’ stuff” has become a Nostylgia tradition over the years. Although we couldn’t make it for the opening day there was still plenty left to pick through on Brimfield’s half-a-mile stretch, packed a football field deep. Although the prices were high as always and we much prefer to discover our own antiques before they get picked and resold by others, this show is always a sight worth seeing again and again The sense of Americana was everywhere, the New England food was delicious, the energy was live, and the inspiration for new designs was unavoidable, and that’s why we always attend. It’s all about the Lifestylgia and everyone at Brimfield lives it!

There was a sea of people, a cigar store Indian, befitting advertisements, patriotic carvings, a steam-punk set of drawers with glasses to match, and last but not least who can resist a photo behind a classic boardwalk cutout.

Nostylgia is about time and place. Now is finally that time, and we must leave our “place”; to move on to the rest of the world that is!
After seven years of in-house cultivation at 251 Dyckman Street we unfortunately had to leave as the world sometimes makes decisions for us but we proudly announce the upcoming world-wide release of the Nostylgia Collection for Holiday 2012.
A line full of top quality fabrics, classic patterns, modern fits, and as always a touch of our Uptown, Inwood spirit. Last but not least, as always MADE IN AMERICA!
On to the world for now, back to the neighborhood soon!

Personalization has been at the heart of America’s creative spirit for centuries. Have a business? An Organization? A team? Or ever just want to show off your design skills? Than you need something tangible to announce it to the world. Whether it be on a T-Shirt, a uniform, signage, collectibles, or even a full collection of clothing, with the help of Mixture Printing (our long time printing partners) combined with our own years of manufacturing experience we can now empower others to bring their own creativity to life.
From concept to construction, let us walk you through the process. Nothing is impossible! Just email us at info@nostylgia.com for more information and a free price quote.

Where is Nostylgia?
Since 2005 the answer has been simply, Uptown at 251 Dyckman St. to be exact. Just follow the hands on our clock. It’s that easy!
But as they say, “the times, they are a changin’” and with that, so is Nostylgia. It is with heavy heart we must announce that Nostylgia is being forced to close the doors of its premier location due to the sheer greed of local landlords. Though the injustice is remarkable it is not at all surprising as it’s well known all is fair in love and war, aka business! While the landlord might have won this battle THE WAR we are in, fighting in the name of local businesses everywhere is FAR FROM OVER!
With that said, our final day at 251 Dyckman St. will be March 31st. We are currently looking into other local retail spaces and with any luck we hope to re-establish the energy of our first store, at a new location shortly.
Until then stop by one last time to tell us what Nostylgia at 251 Dyckman St. has meant to you. We have everything in store on final clearance. Even some of our world famous fixtures, sure to be pieces of history one day are on sale and we are currently taking bids. Spring apparel will soon be posted for sale online and we’ll be updating the Nostylgia story regularly so pay close attention.
Last but certainly not least this seems like the perfect time to let out another secret; NOSTYLGIA IS GOING INTERNATIONAL! Our first full collection of tailored menswear is currently being distributed to elite stores worldwide and will be seen on shelves everywhere this October, just in time for the Holidays. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before!
So back to that first question, Where is Nostylgia? The answer now, even more simple than before, we’re EVERYWHERE!!!

When long time Nostylgian(yes that is the new buzz word), and former Uptown resident Mr. Edward Ubiera told us about his participation in the REPETITION REPETITION REPETITION ART SHOW and asked us to collaborate on some T-Shirt design, it wasn’t even a question. So off to BK we shall go!
Repetition Repetition Repetition Show Invite from Guillo on Vimeo.
Ubiera, designer of some of Nostylgia’s most beloved Tee’s of the past like the legendary Inwood Farmers Market Tee(seen rocking out below) has literally transcended “REPETITION” in his latest collection featuring original paintings of engines and motors, the physical embodiment of the word.

Our t-shirt collaberations are LIMITED TO 25 PEICES each, so check the preview and make sure you show up at the show in person to ensure your chances of owning one of these collectable pieces of wearable art.

Deals and Give-Aways all day long. Shop early for the best savings and stick around to relax with a tea while everone else struggles at the mall. HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLP!!!! The antiques have begun to multiply and are starting to take over Nostylgia. PLEASE stop by this weekend to help defend us from these invaders before it’s too late. We are being attacked by these relics of all shapes, sizes, and uses along with the most frightening selection on vintage clothing in NYC.
WORST of ALL, Annette A. Aguilar and her Demonic Stringbeans will be joining the attackers on Sunday to perform their hellish jazz music. EEEEEEEEEK!
Get here early before its to late!!!
