Nothing else marks the start of Spring like The Brimfield Antique Fair. This overwhelming display of “good ol’ stuff” has become a Nostylgia tradition over the years. Although we couldn’t make it for the opening day there was still plenty left to pick through on Brimfield’s half-a-mile stretch, packed a football field deep. Although the prices were high as always and we much prefer to discover our own antiques before they get picked and resold by others, this show is always a sight worth seeing again and again The sense of Americana was everywhere, the New England food was delicious, the energy was live, and the inspiration for new designs was unavoidable, and that’s why we always attend. It’s all about the Lifestylgia and everyone at Brimfield lives it!
There was a sea of people, a cigar store Indian, befitting advertisements, patriotic carvings, a steam-punk set of drawers with glasses to match, and last but not least who can resist a photo behind a classic boardwalk cutout.
